The European Athletics Team Championships is the only event where every single point count, and every single person makes a difference. The one and only event that changes the nature of the sport, bringing team spirit and cooperation into the tough games. It makes the athletes feel the power of team integrity and it makes the spectators feel overwhelmed with emotions which are usually reserved for sports such as football and volleyball. 
 
The European Team Championships, formerly known as the European Cup, has been held since 2009 and biannually since 2015. All the national teams are divided into four leagues, each comprising of 12 teams.  The First League event is to be hosted in Sandnes from 9-11 August 2019, and we will see the best athletes representing the teams from the following countries:
